Thanks Bob, I seem to have a very old style Transpac which does not seem to work as well as others.
I looked at the tail plate a couple of years ago but, at the moment, am not convinced I need one. More of a luxury than necessity. However, a mate of mine knew someone who made them at home so I may chase that up
As for my little test the other weekend, the wing wouldn't work upside down as it wouldn't empty. Everything about that design was great but I'd need another dump. Worked fine the right way up but I didn't get to test for 'flappiness' as it was too damn cold by then
Penguin's seems to be exactly what I want. Like mine but adjustable and with a means to adapt and add weight. I shall be saving the pennies to build one of those
