Cave Diving Florida
« on: November 17, 2009, 09:43:52 AM »
Hey guys,

I think I'm going to be in America for a few days in late February and I hope to bring along my dive gear to do some cave diving when I'm there.

Any advice or suggestions on centres/divers I could contact about getting some nice cave diving done while i'm there. I have my full cave cert so would be up for most things.

Any help would be great!

Chat soon,
Barry

Barry,
Depends on what part of Florida you will be in. I have good friends who I go over to in Orlando all the time. They cave dive alot and dive in springs around orlando also. The run a scuba shop but dive all the time with people give them a e-mail and they will be able to help you or point you in the right direction.

There website is www.dayoscuba.com. contact Denise or TJ good friends of mine ok.

Barry just thought of something. They have a forum on their website you can sign up and just post in the trips section looking for dive buddies on the days places you will be lots of people on there always looking to dive with different people.

Ya richie I was the only one mad enough to do a cave dive at night without a wetsuit. The said us irish are nutters but have balls of steel. To this day dont think anyone has done it since and I probably wont do it again nearly got hypothermia. But it was a good point to prove that they soft over there.

Depends which part of Florida...

Gregg at http://www.wakulladiving.com/ is a good guy.

Let me know which areas and I'll see what suggestions I can make. Great place to dive, especially if your on a breather.

C'mon Stewie...nothing wrong with the wet rocks during the winter when its blowing like crazy!
And a guy has to take care of his mates (especially so he gets invites to dive all those purty liners next year!)...
