hehe...I'm not so sure if it's such a good promotional video (no offence to your camerman skills Cathal

Saturday was desperate, all right, we had snow, sleet, hail stones, heavy swell, bad visibility, you name it....
Shallow water line laying practise was a disaster, we menaged to place ....ONE belay, and only because we bring the belay point with us ( lead block) - otherwise there was NONE ( I'm known for placing belays in dodgy places but I swear, even I couldn't find anything to anchor to...

)
Then I jumped in off the Reef to locate the Through Cave and the vis was that bad that... I couldn't find it....

We had to call the day which was heading to its end anyway...
By Sunday morning everything miraculously improved, the sun was shining, the ocean was radiating with pale green colour and the swell was reduced. We simply jumped off the Doolin Point and almost immediately ( well, kind of...

entered the Hell Complex through
Sian and Sarah Teashop entrance where we learned some valuable lessons about line laying and line following

. The highlight of those dives was when we entered impressive Hell's main tunnel...I love that place

After lunch we started hauling our gear to the bottom of Boodaun Bay which we chose as an entry point to the Mermaid's Hole. Once again I'd like to stress the fact that it was also a rock climbing, limestone pavement negotiating and heavy gear hauling course which components were nicely balanced ( cough, cough ) with cavern diving... Good value for money, you can't beat that...
Diving in Mermaid's was fantastic maybe even too much: 35m inside the cave you could see light from the entrance which spoiled my meticulously planned horror of a blackout drill...

ah well......
Temp in Hell 7deg, and only 4 in Mermaid's ( fresh water resurgence)
WELL DONE LADS!!!!
P.S.
Chris (blue fins

), after seeing it again on the video you are officially banned from using your flutter kick in the Green Holes - it's lethal for everything and everyone in a radius of 1m....
