have to agree - the RSS feeds (divegear, RNLI) are annoying  :flogging:

Maybe you could change it so that the RSS feeds do not appear as unread posts. I know most of us use the "show unread posts since last visit" quite a lot - but it's crap when 95% of the new posts are spam

Agreed! I generally have a look at divegear.ie alongside technicaldiving.ie to look for new posts when I'm at the computer anyway!

REVOLUTION  ;D

I like it. OK I've set the divegear.ie and RNLI feeds to be marked as Read. See if that helps.

Let me know if you want me to get rid of RNLI and divegear.ie completely - the only reason I put them in was to have something for you to read in the quiet winter months.

I'll see if I can set up a vote or something - if that doesn't work just post your opinion here and I'll do whatever you tell me.

By the way - no, I wasn't receiving any money for taking on the feeds.

The angry mob has spoken.  :demon:

I've removed the divegear.ie and two of the RNLI feeds. I've left the one with the call outs information and it just feeds into the Incidents board.

Haha I agree too! :D Was making the recent posts window unusable!

Was thinking this would be a problem but an alternative to deleting them completely would be to create a second smaller "Recent" window for only "Recent RSS". And I'm not just talking about Divegear.ie (in fact I'd exclude the divegear feed as it would just flood it at times), but recent RSS for RNLI and similar sites would be an interesting list to check every so often.

Also I assume most users here scroll down to the "Recent Posts" window every time, I do anyway. Any chance of putting a small anchor link to the Recent Posts on the top header of the page so it'll jump straight down to it? Lazy eh... would be handy though!
