Its not just the story itself, but the way you wrote it had me focused to my monitor while I read it in work, not even noticing anyone trying to get my attention! You have a fantastic skill in writing Artur, keep it up, maybe pen some fiction for awhile, but it seems your real exploits are far more interesting  >:D
Cheers,
Graham

Almost fell of the chair, as I was so close to the edge.

An amazing finish.

So glad the conclusion was positive.

There's definitely a short film there for the making!   Very well written account of it all, great that you made it back to tell the tale. I don't know many who would end it with an intention to return!!

I have an idea that any kind of viz acceptable for a movie would somehow detract from the suspense...

Depends on what you're looking for. I prefer my instructors to have had a few tough days at the office so they can pass on what they witnessed first hand rather than what they have read somewhere.  :spin:

Well said. I'm doing intro to cave with Artur and his "tough days at the office" have me even more convinced he is the best man for the job. It's EASY to become an instructor but the best ones out there do the type of diving they teach about and, as Stephen noted, can pass that hard earned knowledge on to the students. There are many that just push the numbers through. No substitute for experience.

I think what Eoin means, is that he may be mental to start diving caves himself, as he doesnt ever want to end up in the situation that Artur found himself in. I know this because im Eoins buddy and weve decided that were going to do the cavern and cave courses with Arthur*, but we have allready swore to ourselves that it will be sea caves only, and none of the freshwater stuff Artur does too.
(I know the same can happen in sea caves too, but the viz does look a bit better in his sea cave photos!)
We both rate Artur highly and have followed his dives for a few years now, and we both know that even if we never dive a cave again after the courses, that we will still have learnt loads from our time with him.

*when both of our job situations settle down.
Safe Diving,

Cool, the sea caves (green holes) look amazing but the swell can make access a tad hit and miss. There are some nice freshwater caves as well, some with great vis and the advantage of no current. Nice to see more interest in cavern and intro to cave. Would be nice to get a mini group together at some stage and do some trips to Doolin, Wales etc. Ain't all about Malin head......... :sarcasm:
