Sidemount Scuba Diving - Coming to Ireland
« on: June 23, 2011, 04:47:29 PM »
Hi Everyone,

Was not sure where to post this, so if someone can link to this in any relevant sections that would be appreciated.

My name is Steve Martin from www.sidemountscubadiving.com - I am currently back in the UK and will be heading over to Ireland in July to run a couple of sidemount training courses. Location confirmed so far is Cork. I am available to conduct some sidemount presentation evenings around Ireland while I am passing through, should people be interested..?

If you would like the opportunity to get trained using the "new" Steve Bogaerts - Razor 2 Side Mount System and a set the Apeks Sidemount Regulator Package. Then I will provide full sidemount equipment for upto x3 people during your 4 day training course.

Forget diving in a twinset, it really is a thing of the past. Not sure about that then come along to a presentation evening you have nothing to lose.

Regards, Steve

Welcome Steve,

I'm sure you will get a very warm welcome from all here, I'm certainly looking forward to doing some courses with you. I have the z harness but would love to get my hands on the rsms!  When you have a confirmed set of dates, let me know.

If you are interested in doing some personal diving a bit when you are here, Artur Conrad (www.hellandhighwater.eu  - on the forum) runs a load of cavern/into to cave sidemounted courses in the Doolin sea caves.  Nobody knows sidemount or cave diving in Ireland better than him. I reckon the Doolin caves would be right up your alley as well.

Cheers,
Aaron

Welcome Steve,

If your doing a presentation in the Dublin area count me in as well.. I was in Malta a few weeks ago on a trimix course and met and dived with Steve Bogaerts so I'm sold on the Razor system...

guys, well worth traveling to meet Steve. As for the Razor, I'm sold as well. I have the z system and it is good (probably better than the original razor). The new razor system is so well thought out, no contest.

@Graham, yr welcome to try the system anytime. I'm getting the razor so you can look at both.

Cheers, Aaron

Hi Bob,

Glad to hear you have x4 people interested already in Cork. I will do a presentation there as it is the same location, I have a confirmed course. If you know a venue or dive centre..? I will let everyone know the dates I am coming in the next day or so...

Cheers, Steve

Ah lovely just after I went out and spent my hard earned savings on a lovely harness, twin bladder wing and twin 12's,  I now find out their obsolete!! bloody typical ..........
