Thanks Jim for a great talk last night. Despite the fact that I don't do caves and perhaps some of the significance of the link ups in Gort lowlands is lost on me a bit I thought the presentation was very very good, intriguing in fact. Its a tough gig - there will have been a lot of non-cave divers in the audience and perhaps some quite inexperienced divers but I think the content was just right and will make divers of all levels think about whats been achieved and whats involved. I found the closing section about Artur's accident and the final remarks to "look out for your buddies/friends" particularly poignant.

Thanks also to Waldek for the camerawork and I look forward to seeing his film in 2012. A trailer was shown at the end of Jim's presentation.

I also heard on the grapevine that €600 was raised for the Irish Cave Rescue Organisation so thanks to everyone who contributed so generously

Fantastic talk last night.   Well done to Jim for delivering a great insight into his perspective on Irish cave diving as well as a very fitting tribute to Artur.   This was my first trip up to the DUSAC lecture series, well worth the trip.   Thanks to Stephen and DUSAC for organising.

Considering this whole talk series is done on a voluntary basis its a huge credit to all involved. I cant imagine how difficult it must have been for Jim to have conducted last nights talk but it was a great presentation and great tribute to Artur. Well done Jim.

Great talk by Jim. I am only sorry I had to leave early to help introduce new people to the joy of diving at my clubs try-a-dive night. Maybe we can persuade the powers that be to invite Jim to present it at Dive Ireland 2012 if he was up for it.

Also very surprised to see a photo of me practising line work ashore on the SUI course in 2002. As was pointed out I was wearing the same fleece last night. I many need to refresh my wardrobe :-)
