are boc the only O2 supplers?

are boc the only O2 suppliers in Ireland?

I know there are several suppliers that do it in the uk so just wondering if boc hold a monopoly here?

We have air products as well although if I recall their minimum order was a quad which is something like 12 or 16 cylinders as far as I recall. There's small companies about the place as well e.g. Irish Oxygen Co. down in Cork etc

So yeah its effectively a monopoly when it comes to supplying divers  :-\

If you are happy with Industrial Oxygen then Air Products will still let you rent single J's.

Thanks. Do any of them provide the regulators as well or do you need to go elsewhere for these? Any ideas of reg cost? I presume that you need a reg to connect to a decanting whip

Bullnose adapter from Sub-Aqua products for the J of O2 and a din decanting whip is what I use (on BOC cylinders). AFAIK a re is only used on the J when you have to have a certain constant pressure of O2 (welding etc). For blending its all so slooooowwwww.

A decanting whip with a bullnose adaptor is all you need for partial pressure blending....and some training of course ::)

Reg is used on oxygen cylinder if you're feeding a mixing panel for example where you're doing continuous blending with O2 injection over compressed air.

Where there is money to be spent, a Sidemount ninja will always be the first to slip in:-)
Soon enough the word ninja will be banned from this forum:-)
