Scary thing is that yesterday I tried three regs before I found one that "worked" and guess what it was the one that was full of salt. That was my bailout reg for 40mins bottom time @ 32m and 10mins of stops

A suit bottle reg, a reg for backup 02 aka oh shit bottle, bailouts left and right and two for drop sets in the boat.

Everything O2 clean and interchangeable. I'd have no problem filling my suit cylinder with pure 02 and breathing it through the suit reg.

Everything is kept at as high a quality as I can make it.

I think thats my point. It doesn't matter whether you're a kitchen sink cowboy like myself or a professionally approved service tech like George @ Lambay. It is important that your regs and cyl valves are in good working order no matter how the job gets done. I see lads spending big money on courses and suits and wings but perhaps not on maintenance. A case of out of sight out of mind perhaps?
